My dear Admiral,
The liberation of Tuscany & Lucca where not one French man remains will of course facilitate our operations here, an so, is it ought we find Capua a tough business from the great difficulty we have in getting any thing for the siege, pray be so good as to send me a list of the ships left in you neighbourhood. I am totally ignorant of which is gone and what remains. I hear of frigates under Cockburn on the coast of Genoa that seems odd when Minorca is said to be seriously threatened.
God be with you and believe me your much obliged.

Sir William and Lady Hamilton send their kind regards.
