It’s Elemental: Line and Colour in Contemporary Art

October 24 - 29, 2020

A beautifully cohesive auction with expressive works by established artists, “It’s Elemental” focuses on the intersection of line and colour in contemporary art. Carefully curated over many months, this auction asks collectors to reconsider the basic principles of design and how they manifest in the work of this diverse group of artists.

Canadian artists of note include John Hartman, Rita Letendre, Wanda Koop, Thomas Sherlock Hodgson, Yves Gaucher, Melanie Authier, Nicole Katsuras, Lynne Cohen, Greg Hardy and Angela Leach. Ahead of 2021, which has been proclaimed as the Year of Public Art in Toronto, collectors should keep an eye out for Shayne Dark’s maquette for “Double Take,” a public sculpture located on Ted Rogers Way.
