This auction includes work from Papua New Guinea, including two well carved canoe prows, Gope boards, and miniature figures; Pre-Columbian pottery; Indonesian carvings; and over 200 pieces of African art including carvings and utilitarian items, with examples in wood, metal, stone and ivory. Highlights from this section include Yoruba Ibeji figures, an Ogoni mask, Igbo marionettes, hide shields, Shona stone carvings, large Kurumba and Bamana Tji Wara headdresses, and a Dogon Kanaga mask.
