Impeccable Provenance
We vet the provenance and storage conditions of each consignment prior to accepting them for auction. This results in us rejecting hundreds and sometimes thousands of bottles a year from consignors.
Rigorous Inspections
Each bottle is inspected by hand prior to inclusion in our auctions. Wines undergo further inspection by our staff and a third-party wine auction industry veteran prior to catalogue publication. And finally, each auction is reviewed by the LCBO to make sure it meets their high level of standard.
Detailed Conditions
While other auction houses may put the onus of verifying the condition of wines on the bidder, we provide thorough condition notes for each lot upfront. Ullage, capsule condition, and even scuffed labels — we notate every possible condition detail so you can bid comfortably by just reading the catalogue’s description.
High Resolution Photographs
Just in case the detailed conditions in the catalogue are not enough, we take well-lit high resolution photographs of each and every lot in our in-house photography studio. We never use stock photography, nor duplicate images. Each lot is photographed individually by our expert in-house photographer. What you see is what you get! And if our studio photos aren’t enough, we are happy to take additional photos of anything you need.

Local Consignors, Local Storage
The vast majority of our consignments come from the Greater Toronto Area and are securely stored at our downtown Toronto offices. Our wines only travel twice: once when they come in for consignment, and then when they leave with their new owners after an auction. Our wines are not travelling to third-party storage, nor between provinces or countries.
