‘Carmichael Country’
For Carmichael, the spectacular physiography of Ontario’s La Cloche Mountains was to become an integral part of his personal life and his artistic career.
La Cloche Mountains is a range of hills in Northern Ontario, along the northern shore of Lake Huron near Manitoulin Island, considered even today as ‘Carmichael country’.
