Standing in pratyalidhasana with flaming hair, on the back of a recumbent bull above a prostrate man on a lotus base, his right arm raised holding the skull club, his left displaying vitarkamudra

Note:

In this example, Yama is showcased as the judge of hell. The damned are brought before him to be questioned, and mythical creatures will act out the punishments.
The present sculpture is impressive for its dynamic and detailed form. A similar figure of Yama was sold at Bonhams New York, September 18, 2013, lot 23.
