Unusual Cloisonné Enamel ‘Lantern’ Vase, Qing Dynasty, 18th/19th Century

Of pear shaped form, the body with three large reticulated medallions depicting five bats surrounding a ‘shou’ character, all on a meandre ground with floral design, the top and bottom framed by a champlevée ruyi borders, the upper section extendable to transform the vase into a candle shade, the cylindrical interior decorated with florals
height 10.6" — 27 cm.
