Of cylindrical form with a beaded band along the lower section of the smooth exterior decorated with a songbird and branch of pomegranate on one side and inscription on the opposite

Zhang Shibao was one of the most important famille rose artists from Jingdezhen during the Republican Period. His works were chosen for diplomatic gifts by Zhou Enlai and Den Xiaoping during the 1960’s and 70’s.
