Expertly rendered, each of tusk form and carved in the round as one of the eight Daoist immortals, the figures dressed in long loose robes and bearing their distinct attributes including: Li Tieguai with his crutch and double gourd bottle; Han Xiangzi holding a flute; Lan Caihe carrying a basket of peaches; He Xiangu with a long-stemmed lotus; Zhang Guolao together with his donkey; Lu Dongbin standing with a sword swung across his back and fly whisk in right hand; Han Zhongli with a feather; and Cao Guojiu dressed as a nobleman. Each affixed to wood stand
tallest height 12.2" — 31 cm.
