Large White Jade ‘Elephant’ Disc, 19th Century

The white coloured stone of oval-shape and carved in relief to depict two figures, each dressed in loose robes, climbing along a recumbent elephant, the figures surrounded by prunus flowers and rockery, the disc inset along the cover of a quatrefoil box decorated with scenes of traveling figures
jade disc width 4.5" — 11.5 cm.
