Provenance:

From the Collection of Nils Nessim (1916-1974)

Nils Nessim was a successful entrepeneur of oriental carpets in Stockholm, Sweden. His success in the early 20th century led him to open an antique shop, which included collections of Chinese antiques.

His frequent travels and business in China led him to receive special permission to import antiquities from China into Sweden in 1959. A number of his pieces of Chinese art have been exhibited in Swedish museums.
