A Fine Pair of Bronze Kirin Censers, Koro, Meiji Period, Late 19th Century

Each a mirror-image of the other and raised on four slender legs emanating from monster masks, the squat body with wide funnel neck entwined with a three-clawed dragon, the shoulder with inverted ‘U’ handles, all on a dense geometric ground, the pierced cover with a finely cast kirin holding a pearl with long flowing tassels
height 18.3" — 46.5 cm.
