Depicting the most powerful of the four heavenly kings (Shitenno), his left hand holding a pagoda symbolizing the divine treasure house which he guards and bestows, the right holding a trident which represents the three jewels of Buddhism: the Buddha, the dharma (doctrine), and the sangha (order/community)
