The interior of the shallow dish decorated with a phoenix perched on a rock amid blossoming peony branches, surrounded by panels of flowers and butterflies, the underside with a six-character iron-red seal mark reading 'Nichi Hi Yama Fukagawa tsukuru' (日肥山深川造)
