Note:
Taizan Yohei (1856-1922) was the head of the ninth and last generation of Taizan family potters. Under his direction, the family mainly produced wares for the export market, particularly to North America. His works have been showcased at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893, and are kept in museum collections such as the Metropolitan in New York and the Tokyo National Museum.
