清 十九世纪 葫芦雕蟋蟀筒带巧雕硬木嵌椰壳盖

The gourd shaped and moulded during its lifetime growth to feature a long tapering body and bulbous lower portion pressed with faint ridges and square on the base reminiscent of a seal mark, the body subtly decorated all around with thin fine lines forming a faint picture of mountain landscape, the neck rising to a flared mouth fitted with a carved rosewood lip, the lid also carved rosewood inset with a black coconut shell top pierced with prunus blossoms, the interior cavity excavated and shaped by its cricket resident
height 5.9" — 15 cm.
