The innermost circle depicts the three poisons represented by a pig (ignorance), snake (anger), and a rooster (desire), immediately bordered by figures that are rising (collecting karma) and falling (exhausting merit). The next layer depicts the six realms of existence (god, asura, human, animal, ghost, and hell), and the outermost circle with the Twelve Links of Dependent Arising, beginning with a blind man at the one o'clock position.
