EMPEROR SHOMU AND THE SHOSOIN

Tokyo: Kyo bun kwan, 1941. Two volumes in tied string wraps enclosed in a wine cloth board folding slip case, all in the original card box TOGETHER WITH a silk cloth accordion album containing over 100 black and white lithographs of Japanese historical sites and cultural property; and a wood and cloth box published by Kyoto University in Showa 8 (1933) containing folios of an ancient handscroll in black and white lithography

minor creases to wrappings of Emperor Shomu, some stains to card box; accordion alubm with fraying to silk covers, lithos glued to card; handscroll folios in good condition as is the cloth and wood case
