Rare Ivory Carved Double Gourd and Monkeys Ornamental Container, 18th/19th Century
Intricately rendered with a group of monkeys and bats crawling on the surface of a double gourd, the gourd joined together by a pair of square-shaped branches and open up to reveal a 17 cm linked chain containing four miniature monkeys and a miniature peach that opens up to reveal to baby monkeys
unopened height 3.6" — 9.2 cm.
