Note:

Monica Tap is a Toronto-based artist whose many activities involve exploring questions of time and representation in painting. Her practice opens up a space between landscape and abstraction.

Tap's canvases have been exhibited in Canada, the US and Europe. Her work is represented in private, corporate and public collections in Canada and abroad.

Originally from Alberta, Tap completed her BFA (1990) and MFA (1996) degrees at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She is a Professor of Painting and Drawing in the School of Fine Art and Music at the University of Guelph.

Tap is represented by MKG127 in Toronto and Peter Robertson Gallery in Edmonton.
