Lot Report

The present lot comprises correspondence relating to the sponsorship of 'Baby Louisa' in the care of St. Vincent's Home for Foundlings and Orphans in Agra India, where the Saint was Mother Superior. The letters are dated July, August, October, November and December. Mother Teresa notes that the absence of a September update was the result of "abnormal conditions created here in India due to aggression by Pakistan', a reference to the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965.
