This work was originally mis-attributed to Robert Wakeham Pilot, whose work it closely resembles. The painting was a gift from the Pilots to the present owner’s family. While it is not by Robert Pilot, it is, however, likely to have been painted by the artist’s wife, Trudi, whose works, accomplished in their own right, are known to closely echo those of her husband.
