The French-born illustrator and painter, Sebron, visited Niagara Falls in 1850 and prepared views from the Canadian side which were engraved in Paris. While in the United States (1849-circa 1855) he painted American views, chiefly dioramas. Harper states there is some evidence that Sebron was in Canada from 1855 to 1863.
