In the early years of his career, John Little worked with his father, an architect, and developed his interest in the built environment. Though well-known for his Montreal street scenes, Little's attraction to Île D'Orléans and its village of St. Jean is, therefore, not at all surprising given that it boasts some six hundred buildings that are classified or recognized as heritage properties.
