Provenance:

Gift from the Artist
By descent to Private Collection, Ontario

Note:

The Talisman Resort was a popular destination in the seventies, primarily for skiing. Here A.J. Casson has recorded the quiet ski hills on a September day before the snow flies. The distinctive ridgeline will be familiar to those who have visited the resort. The distinctive Swiss-style chalet building of the main lodge would be out of frame to the left of the composition.
