Note:

The mural for which these sketches were done was commissioned for Toronto International Airport's Aeroquay One (1957-1964). This massive public art commission included works by Kazuo Nakamura, Jean Paul Riopelle, and Harold Town. Coughtry's completed contribution was titled Two Murals (Man into Space)., 1962. Toronto International Airport was renamed Lester B. Pearson International Airport in 1984.
