About artist/note:


Patrick Hurst was born in Vulcan, Alberta, in 1947. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking and Ceramics from the University of Calgary in 1974, as well as a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. in 1971 He went on to received his Master of Arts (printmaking and drawing) from the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon in 1979.

Hurst is the recipient of several awards, including a Major Arts Award from the Saskatchewan Board in 1972 and several Purchase Awards. His work is part of prominent collections across Canada. Hurst lives in Calgary, Alberta.
