- Shirley Katz -

German-born Shirley Katz received her Bachelor of Arts in 1967 and her Teaching Diploma in 1968 from McGill University, and continued on to complete her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University in 1976. She has taken printmaking courses at York University in Toronto, at the Saidye Bronfman Center for the Arts in Montreal, as well as a workshop with Bob Blackburn in New York. She became a professional artist in 1979 and has since exhibited in solo and group exhibitions throughout Canada and the United States, and her work is included in prominent collections across Canada. Katz lives in Montreal, Quebec, where she has her own studio.
