Note:

Spanish-born Ramón Prats was appointed as the official artist and illustrator for "El País" newspaper in Havana, Cuba when he was 15 years old. After his studies in Cuba, Prats moved to New York where he studied at the Art Students League of New York. He regularly exhibited at the Associated American Artists (AAA) Gallery until 1955 and also at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Prats moved to Mexico in 1956 and was pivotal in spearheading the development of modern art there until his death at age 74.
