Purchased in Montreal in the 1950s;
By descent to the present Private Collection, Ontario


In 1944 Tidemanis emigrated to Germany and after that to Switzerland. In 1948 he lived in Montreal, Canada, and later in 1953 he moved to Toronto where he died in 1964 leaving behind a studio of paintings.
