Note:

Adrian Rumbaut’s work is found in private and public collections throughout Cuba, North American and Europe. A founding member of Del Grupo Punto y del Projecto Coordenada, he attended school at the National School of Art in Havana, graduating in 1991. His current international exhibition explores (through his distinguishing sepia-toned painting) iconic images of 20th Century popular culture, such as Marilyn Monroe and Che Guevera. The artist incorporates subliminal bars, fences and cages into his images, insinuating that despite any hardships that one may be experiencing, freedom is always close at hand.
