12 hand coloured gores by J. Mynde, titled An New Globe of the Earth depicting Australia as New Holland and New South Wales, the Antarctic Circle with no continent, Canada with no north shore, California as a peninsula, the ‘Chinese Wall’, as well as the voyages of Captains Anson, Cook and King, in original red edged fish skin covered spherical single hinged case having two gilt hook and eye clasps and lined with coloured celestial gores depicting constellations
