Note:

The VZ-9 (marked AV-7055 on its initial rollout) was an experimental VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft developed by Avro for the US military in the early years of the cold war. The current lot was presented to John Ray Anderson, who worked on the project as a steel cutter. His Avro Aircraft Ten Year Club certificate dated December 1961 accompanies the lot.
