the French side left natural with Philip VI as king, Joan of Burgundy as queen, foot soldiers with halberds as pawns, the English side stained green with Edward III as king, Philippa of Hainault as queen, kneeling archers as pawns, all hunchbacks as bishops, horsemen as knights, and fortresses as rooks
