the inverted pear shaped body cast and chased with Ganymede feeding the eagle of Zeus, putti harvesting grapes on the other side, rabbits in a forest glade and a tiger pursued by hounds, the cover with exotic birds on branches below a conforming finial, with moulded mythical bird’s head scroll spout and raffia wrapped scroll and mask swing handle; on an openwork stand cast with exotic birds and animals, masks, flowers, shells and scrollwork, supported on three scroll and shell feet; the triangular stand centred with a fox and hounds in a woodland setting, the openwork rim with human figures, dog’s heads, fruiting vines, flowers and scrollwork on three perched eagle and prey feet

Some minor breaks to rattan covering handle; top of domed cover pushed down; a few dents to base of burner well; minor wear to gilding, confined to high points; otherwise substantially in good condition; well marked on the side near handle, inside the cover, on the finial and nut (spacer not marked), on the rim of the stand (sterling standard) and under burner well, on burner cover (sterling standard) and on the tray near rim
