Inscription reads (sic): "Ce chemin a ètè fait et ce temple a ètè comstruit par le Comte de Findlater en reconnoissane du bien que les eaux de Carlabaad lui ont fait, et en commèmoration des jours hereux qu'il y a passès sous les loix douces et paternelles du gouvernement autrichien 1801"

CONDITION DETAILS

Tiny chip to enamel on the panel (base of one tree at right) is barely significant; otherwise substantially in good condition; inscription translates: "This path has been made and this temple was built by the Comte de Findlater in recognition of the good that the waters of Carlsbad have done him, and in commemoration of the happy days that have passed under the gentle and fatherly laws of the Austrian government 1801"
