Note:

Inspector Mudge was stationed in Iqaluit between 1961 and 1963. This carving was presented as a farewell gift in 1963 to he and his wife by the Federal Government Recreational Club, in thanks for their efforts regarding their involvement in sporting activities (mainly curling), while stationed in Iqaluit.

The piece has a wooden box hand-crafted by the artist to properly store the Musk ox. The box is custom designed to perfectly fit the carving.
