CHÂTEAU PICHON LONGUEVILLE COMTESSE DE LALANDE 1986 (5) 95 WA
Lot 23 Details
CHÂTEAU PICHON LONGUEVILLE COMTESSE DE LALANDE 1986

Pauillac. 2ième Cru Classé
u. 3 x bn. 2 x scraped labels. 5 x bin soiled labels. 1 x corroded capsule

The palate is medium-bodied with supple red berry fruit, a pinch of white pepper and cedar, structured compared to coeval vintages and perhaps further along its drinking plateau than previous examples. Certainly à point, I would be reaching for bottles of this now if you cannot locate those 1982s, or alternatively seek out the superlative 1996. This still remains a fine, rather regal Pichon-Lalande. Tasted July 2016. Drink: 2016-2036 WA 95

5 bts.    per lot $1,300 - $1,500

Realised: $1,800
