Lot 567 Details
EL ENEMIGO CABERNET FRANC GRAN ENEMIGO CHACAYES 2015

Mendoza, Argentina.
u. 3 x bn. 3 x marked labels. 1 x scraped label.

Sourced from a very stony vineyard in the Chacayes zone of Valle de Uco from a vineyard planted in 2009, the 2015 Gran Enemigo Chacayes Single Vineyard shows very good freshness. There is less difference between this vintage and the 2016 I also tasted next to it than there is in the Agrelo bottling, as this place seems to imprint the wine with its austere and stony personality and tends to be very homogeneous despite the natural conditions of the vintage. Even if 2015 was a little warmer and certainly drier than 2016, the wine does not show any heat or ripeness; in fact, it's very fresh and, within its powerful personality, elegant and mineral. There is a texture that defines this wine, very fine, powdery tannins that are velvety, and the finish is dry and very tasty, almost salty. 6,500 bottles produced. October 2019 WA 95
