Lot 204 Details
CAYUSE VINEYARDS SYRAH EN CERISE VINEYARD 2011 (1)

Walla Walla Valley, Washington.
u. 1.5 cm.

Made from 100% Syrah, the 2011 Syrah En Cerise is similarly styled, with perfumed black cherry, plum, violets, spring flowers and salty minerality giving way to a seamless, thrillingly pure Syrah that has full-bodied richness, no hard edges and fine tannin. It too will be better in another couple of years and evolve for 15 years or more. June 2014 Drink: 2014-2029 WA 96

CAYUSE VINEYARDS SYRAH EN CERISE VINEYARD 2012 (1)

Walla Walla Valley, Washington.
u. 1.5 cm.

Always coming from a small 2.5-acre block inside the En Cerise vineyard, the 2012 Syrah en Cerise is a fabulously complex, seamless and elegant Syrah that exhibits notes of dried cherries, currants, dried herbs, violets and cured meats. These all flow to a full-bodied, nicely concentrated Syrah that shows the more structured, savory side to the vintage. Slightly less flamboyant and decadent from bottle than barrel, I think it will reward 3-4 years of cellaring, and keep for two decades. June 2015 Drink: 2018-2032 WA 97
