Lot 281 Details
E. GUIGAL CÔTE-RÔTIE LA MOULINE 2007 (1)
Rhône.
A big step up, the 2007 Cote Rotie la Mouline boasts serious richness and depth, with a still tight, focused and youthful profile that’s begging for another couple of years in the cellar. Giving up plenty of smoked earth, toast, dried flowers, graphite, chocolate and hints of bacon fat, it’s a masculine version of this cuvee that should start to open up in another 3-4 years, and drink beautifully through 2032. August 2014 WA 96+
E. GUIGAL CÔTE-RÔTIE LA TURQUE 2007 (1)
Rhône.
The 2007 Cote Rotie la Turque is an elegant, seamless example of this cuvee that offers sensational notes of smoked meats, truffles, blackberries and cassis, as well as a hint of tapenade with time in the glass. It has a rich, unctuous and full-bodied profile on the palate, with sweet, sweet tannin and an utterly seamless texture that makes it go down way too easy. Drink this beauty anytime over the coming two decades or more. December 2016 WA 97
E. GUIGAL CÔTE-RÔTIE LA LANDONNE 2007 (1)
Rhône.
The 2007 Cote Rotie la Landonne is another wine that's drinking beautifully today, and this forward, supple character is trait of the vintage. Revealing a perfumed bouquet of smoked beef, tapenade, currants and pepper, it's meaty and gamy, with full-bodied richness and ample, yet sweet tannin. While it won't really hit maturity for another 5-6 years, it certainly dishes out plenty of pleasure now, but will still see it's 30th birthday in fine form. September 2015. Drink: 2015-2042 WA 97
