seven page letter dated May 24, 1827 signed ‘La Reine Caroline’ to Prince Montfort via her lawyer Carlo Odelga: ‘get a response from the Prince, if necessary’ referencing impending complaints with the tribunal; her unpaid dues against France; her suit against Count Alexandre Yermoloff, (buyer of her Austrian property Chateau de Frohsdorf); bitterness at her exiled state ‘exposed to the suspicion of powerful allies’...‘they even refused to change my lodging, and it would have been so easy to please me on this point’
