Provenance:
Collection of Steven Blevins & Sonja Morawetz, Ontario
Note:
The present cane is of a type distinctive to the production of Bkejwanong (Walpole Island), currently home to Ojibwe, Potawatomi, and Odawa peoples of Walpole Island First Nation. The cane is inscribed with "Oneida fair", suggesting the possibility of a traveling Ojibwe, Potawatomi, or Odawa maker.
