Note:

The sitter was the son of John Flood of Farmley, the previous lot 75 in this sale. He married Miss Elizabeth Aldworth, on October 31, 1770.

This portrait may be a 19th Century work related to the Layfayette Studio of photography founded by Edmund Lauder, a pioneering and successful photographer who had opened a daguerreotype studio in Dublin in 1853.
