Note:

Kadir Lopez is a fixture in the Contemporary Cuban art world, and he is known for using 1950’s publicity signs as the base for his works. Lopez has exhibited Internationally and uses his paintings and installations to create a sense of nostalgia for his home country. In a 2011 Huffington Post article, Bruce Helander chose Lopez as on of his “Top Ten Artists to Watch”.
