ETUDE DE MAIN, 1890-1910

Black patinated bronze; signed “A. Rodin”; inscribed with foundry mark “Georges Rudier Fondeur Paris”. Cast in an edition of 12, this being number 4/12. Mounted on a marble base and a revolving marble stand, stamped “Dominion Gallery Montreal”. Together with the original 64 page catalogue “1967-Cinquantenaire De La Mort D’Auguste Rodin 1840-1917” from the Dominion Gallery, Montreal. Preface written by Madame Cecile Goldscheider-Conservateur du musee Rodin, Paris.
