Purchased directly from the artist’s studio on O’Connor Drive, Toronto in 1955 by professional ballet dancer Skaidrite “Otty” Skujins, Toronto;
By descent to her son, Toronto


The frame is original to the work.

Skaidrite Skujins was a dancer in Latvia and an instructor in Canada in the early 1950’s. She and fellow dancer, Vera Kaisa, attended parties and social events in Toronto that Janis Tidemanis also attended and they became friends.
