Note:
Arturo Estrada was one of a group of Frida Kahlo’s students who were named “Los Fridos.” Estrada is known for his mural work in various parts of Mexico in both public and private locations.
Estrada received the William and Norma Copley Foundation Award in Chicago in 1957 and the Art Teachers Award from the National Institute of Bellas Artes in 1966.
Proceeds from the sale of this lot will be generously donated by the Estate to Camp Ooch & Camp Trillium to benefit children living with cancer.
