Henry St. John, 1st Viscount Bolingbroke (1678-1751), was a politician, an MP for Wootton Bassett and Berkshire, a government official and a political philosopher.

Horatio Walpole, 1st Baron Walpole "of Wolterton," PC (1678- 1757), was an English diplomat and younger son of Col. Robert Walpole of Houghton Hall in Norfolk. He was the younger brother of Robert Walpole, 1st Earl of Orford (1676-1745), the first Prime Minister of Great Britain.
