Lot Report

Note:

The Toronto 20 suite was created by 20 artists working in Toronto in 1965. The portfolio was initiated as a co-operative venture between the University of Toronto Press and five Toronto commercial art dealers.
Gordon Rayner used a live frog, which he covered with paint allowing the frog to imprint each of the 100 sheets in an uncontrollable manner thus, because of its variations in movement, each are technically monotypes.
